Paintings
2005-2009
This
work explores forms of communication with the viewer, tapping
into emotions where image and words can evoke varied reactions
while focusing on universal subject matters such as love, pain,
and the need for feeling connected. Using various mediums in the
work (coffee, newspaper, photos, cloth, wax, etc.), the paintings
are considered assemblages that carry one's past.
The
following are selected paintings from 2005-2009 which were created
while living in Astoria and Long Island City, New York.
